Folks are being held (mandatory OT) to provide coverage and folks are are working OT on their off days to make up the loss due to furlough's.

I have a friend whose mother needed EMS services at Christmas. First they sent a fly car, then an ambulance. The medics were good and did their job, no problems with that, mother was transported and is OK etc.

He could not get over the fact about how much the EMS techs talked about Abramson, how much they hated him and how screwed up EMS is. He said it was like listening to me except worse, he has heard my version but never realized how wide spread it was.

It was an unprovoked conversation, they walked in said "sorry for the delay, the mayor is an idiot"
