I think this is a bigger victory than you realize. Before he became Judge, Mitch Perry was a county attorney who was mayor Jerry's chief union buster. Mitch carried out his marching orders from the mayor but he was clearly at odds with the way Jerry handled things and he knew it was wrong. For Mitch to stand up to this mayor and the democratic party machine and render this decision is a strong statement that he believes the FOP is going to win this one.
