As one of the dispatchers involved, I totally agree! It was difficult to keep things straight even in the radio room when you are listening to 5 people yelling a million different things and still trying to make sure you are keeping track of the officers on your channel. To everyone involved, I can not express how great a job everybody did. As so many have already said, I am so glad that all of our men and women made it home safely that night because there were so many points that something terrible could have happened. When I heard those words "shots fired" my heart skipped several beats. I consider it a great honor to work along with such a professional group of people each night. You are all in my prayers!

I listened to the radio link last night have to commend everyone involved - officers and dispatchers. I don't know how in the world the dispatchers were able to keep things so straight - FANTASTIC JOB to all of you!

I sure wish you all had the Air Unit back - why isn't the Media interested in why LMPD doesn't have all of the resources that they need? Why isn't it back yet? For goodness sake you could have built a brand new one by now -how long can it take to fix it??? This is the second time in 6 weeks that you have been involed in a pursuit in my neighborhood with robbery suspects - I know that having the Air Unit would have made it easier for you - instead of trying to keep up with the suspect at speeds of 105? I know that I am going to contact my Metro Council person about it, I hope that they care as much as I do.

A supportive and concerned citizen.
