Out dang (with respect to the web site) standing job as usual lmpd. If not for the nov. 18 freeze I might have had a chance myself to have joined the ranks. I with a room full of other great prospects were taking the written oral test for the academy. God bless your usual professionalism and commitment to the community in doing your job as usual as safely and expediently as possible. A very wild situation that turned out unfortunate for one, but that is how life does sometimes, it is neither good nor fair. And god bless the family of the deceased. All involved please try to have a wonderful holiday season. Drive on LMPD.

GOOD JOB..... THIS SCUM GO WHAT HE DESERVED. ITS TO BAD THAT THIS GUY DIDN'T PARK IT IN THE MAYORS LIVING ROOM. AS I WATCH THE NEWS HIS FAMILY ARE TRYING TO SAY THAT THEY FIND IT HARD TO BELIEVE HE WOULD SHOOT AT A POLICE OFFICER. GET REAL,HE STOLED A MARKED CRUISER,WHAT MAKES YOU THINK HE WOULDN'T SHOOT A COP?

THIS GUY WAS OUT OF CONTROL AND THE OFFICERS OF THIS CITY PUT THEIR LIVES IN DANGER AND THE MAYOR COULD CARE LESS. I WOULD BET THAT AS HE WATCHED THE NEWS HIS ONLY COMMENT WAS,TO BAD I WONT BE ABLE TO COLLECT ON THAT CAR.

ONCE AGAIN GOOD JOB.

A FELLOW OFFICER.

The chief acted impressed, the mayor could care less, but I for one whom recently was trying to become a lmpd officer can only say, dang (fort the sake of the web site) another outstnding example of louisvilles finest. You guys know you are willing to do whatever is necessary. Drive on and God bless.

I was thinking the same thing. How much safer it would have been for our Officers had we had a helicopter to follow the suspect and report his direction and location. We no longer have one because the Chief and the Mayor sold the only working helicopter last year and the one that was wrecked is still sitting in Phoenix because Jerry cashed the insurance check and won't pay the company that repaired it so they won't turn it over.
