Abramson's lordly ways

Uhh Turk your so darn big I wouldn't jump...I might shoot first though. LOL Seriously those are fine sentiments. I feel absolutely the same way. I have loved having my car.

We all have stopped, been late etc... Hell I remember when Travis Hatchell was shot at when he stopped for a stranded motorist. We gave up raises and took lower ones because we always had this going for us. I venture to day that the days of people stopping at my house and asking -if the policeman lives here -we need some help- are over. My free car as people like to think is like my free insurance. Both of which I took no or smaller raises to have and both of which I have earned and nboth of which I already pay fees for.

Yes I can honestly say I have put my life on the line more than just a few times for my community. I have been shot at, cut, bitten, punched, kicked, spit on. I too have worked long hours and missed special occasions. My 20th wedding anniversary was spent at the FBI academy going to school for the department. My family has been supportive and understanding. They are supportive of my decision now to turn in the car.

The deciding factor in this wasn't the economics as much as it was the wasy the Mayor and the Chief and his lapdog Troyboy have been sarcastic, demeaning and unprofessional about th whole thing. My Major came in and calmy explained things and said however we choose he will stand behind us and continue to support us as we work together. The Chief has made daily threats of making us pay to go to court, making detectives pay to come to work, selling the cars that are tuened in to make some brownie points with the mayor...etc Jerry saying we are the ones using scare tactics! HAH! What about the if you don't agree to this I am going to have to lay off 150-200 people.
