Thats just a lie. Your lives are not at stake every day anymore than anyone else living in this city, and less than some.

Read your own webpage, the by far number one cause of death is traffic accidents. Now, you spend more time on the roads than many people, but lots of people spend more time on the road than you, because they work longer shifts.Funny thing about statistics, you can lie about them all you want, but the numbers dont change.

Of the 10 fatalities listed on your own webpage, 2 killed in the bomb blast, 1 killed by a criminal, 1 killed in a roadway accident, and 6 killed in traffic accidents. Of those 6, 3 are verified operator error on part of the cop, and 3 unknown who was at fault from the information. Of the 3 who were intentionally killed, I would be happy to let a fellow cop perform the execution. For the rest of the 10, the deaths are attributable to a problem that ALL motorists face, collisions.

No, you want to be treated like cops, like 24 hour a day heros. Youre not, at least not in the sense that putting on a blue uniform makes you one. Heroism is determined by the person, not the clothing. Many of you will perform heroic actions, but NONE of you are over in a war zone with your lives REALLY on the line everyday. You sling the word hero around like a waitress slings hash. You use the term as an excuse. You want to be treated like cops, in that you think you yourselves deserve the right to determine your own responsibility.

Ill even quote one of you whose words went unchallenged. "We're the police, and youre not."
