How about dont charge a dang thing. The cars in my opinion was a part of the salary. 19 dollars an hour isnt enough to be in law enforcement. Law enforcement takes a heavy tow on your health and family. There is alot of commitment that goes along with having that car. Everyone just thinks it is free cause they see you riding around in plain clothes but have no idea to what is expected of you while in that car. Ive had several off duty officers back me up on off duty jobs. Just having the car show up changed the whole direction of the situation. Ive talked to alot of officers in the sallyport and ive heard mixed reviews. It sounds like most of them are planning on keeping them. I just feel that he isnt done toying with you guys about these cars. If you get something on your contract he is just going to take it away with the take hom cars.
