FOP meeting with mayor a big disappointment

I would first like to apologize for any officers that make rude comments on this website. Please understand that we are just disgruntled with our crappy jobs, but I for one still care about protecting this community.

Here are some ideas to cause the take home cars to do more good:

1. Write a new policy that requires take home cars to stay visible, which means you can't park them in your garage. That way you get the crime deterent effect.

2. There used to be a "police officers next door" program where officers were given a discount on their mortgage in order to live in certain neighborhoods. Why not continue this concept and encourage officers to live in neighborhoods that need them the most.

3. Make as many of our cars into "marked" cars. In any situation where it's even remotely appropriate for a police car to be marked, such as a patrol sergeant, or maybe a district detective, why not have a marked car? Why the hell is half of our cars unmarked??
