I usually agree with him also. On this issue though he is missing the point. Everyone understands that we are going through tough times, but for him to say that the every employee of metro government must share the burden of the "projected" shortfall before every other avenue has been addressed first is ludicrous. Getting this town into deep financial trouble came on his watch due mostly to huge mistakes, deals and decisions that he and his staff made.

For him to say we need to hurry and fix this after he rushed the Cordish deal through without anyone being able to fully examine it just one week before he claimed we are broke STINKS!

I may not be a math wiz, but I know that my families budget depends on not overspending. If you can't afford it you do without. Is t souch a big thing to ask to see the books? Since he first made his spurious claims they have found all sorts of money squirreled away.

Nobody employed by metro government wants to lose any of their hard earned dollars. If after every avenue has been exausted then everyone would be willing to share the burden equally. Unfortunately that is not the mayor's plan. The communty needs to know why we are in ths mess, how we got to ths point and most impotantly what can be done before you take money away from everyone and cut city services.

The idea of "We the People" seems to have eluded himand the media who always chants the mantra of "the public's right to know" should be jumping up and down questoning why we don't have transparent accounting.

That Mr. Lamb s not whinning, it is common sense!
