Had an interesting discussion with a family member today - they truly do not comprehend that the issue of the cars is not one where the cops get all the benefit - if they have never had an off-duty cop help them, why would they? LMPD (well, the FOP) hasn't done a good job of clearly and quantifiably demonstrating how much uncompensated service officers have done in exchange for the so called "free" cars. Specifics, not generalities - over the last months, go back and recreate how many stops/assists
