FOP Members Vote No To City's Proposals

I do not consider myself "your officer." I do not belong to you, you do not own me. I swore an oath to the citizens of this community, not to you, and your puppet master. I am offended when you make unprofessional statements within the departmental setting and embarassed at the fact that your "uniform" is sloppy looking at best, yet you truly think the uniform policy is too liberal. Laughable.

I step up and solve my problems, I look ahead and I help when others truly need help. But, when it comes to someone being totally irresponsible in any area of their lives, and then lying, and covering it up. Forget it. All bets are off. It does not come out of my pocket, and I will not pay for another's crimes (note I did not use the word "mistakes".) When I am wrong, I say I am wrong, and I ask for forgiveness. I do my best to correct my behavior as any educated, God fearing, conscientious adult should. I refuse to blame others, and deflect the guilt. Those are childish games. Those are selfish games. I am not your sheep, your lemming, your scapegoat. Do not portray me as such to the community. Do not paint me as the evil one. I sacrifice. I give. I care. I will continue to do so. But, the line has been drawn. Enough is enough and I say that my brothers and sisters will be trod on no more.
