FOP Members Vote No To City's Proposals

What the mayor and the media aren't telling you is that we have given and given since merger. We have agreed to pay more for our insurance. We have taken zeros for raises. We just signed a contract and took pitiful raises and now he wants to take them away and get cash out of our pockets. He says we haven't done our part?

We watch and work as he throws these extravagant festivals, gives our money to the Ali Center, the Cordish Group, the Arena Project, Museum Plaza, etc, etc. We work the Ryder Cup and watch the big wigs have a great time while our community and our families are without power.

It is amazing that we can find all this money to spend everywhere but for those who make this city function.

I hope you didn't get the impression that any Officer was calling the public stupid. That is not so. I think what they were trying to get at was that Jerry keeps getting elected just like DC kept electing Marion Barry. We are paying the price for people voting popularity instead of knowing what he was really like and how poorly he has led this community.

He makes a good cheer leader for the community but a poor manager.

As an officer for the Louisville Metro Dept Of Corrections. And a member of the F.O.P. I want to say thank you and god bless you. This mayor in nothing but a lier, and has pulled the wool over most of the citizens eyes of this city. I can only hope that they wake up and see things for what they are.

As I watch the T.V. and here him speak, it repulse's me. I cant believe how much he insults our intelligence.
