Enough is Enough!

I do not care what they put in those cars. If we have no money now, how much would the total price tag be on that? We actually had something like what you are talking about at one time, to help us in wooded areas or could relay to everyone else our location in case we were not able to. This thing could even find missing children, monitor dangerous pursuits, assist with finding ejected victims of accidents, and many more things that we could not. It was called our helicopter that the Mayor sold for 800,000. I cannot even begin to tell you how many times the helicopter was used in life or death situations but that did not matter either, he sold it. So I know you cannot see, but it becomes frustrating when things just keep disappearing, with no regard for anyones safety. At one time, when we seized money from drug dealers, we use to receive these seized funds back so we could purchase equipment to help us do our jobs better and attend schools or training. Yet as of the Mayor having control over the department instead of only part of that money going to his "general fund" he takes all of it and spends it on garbage cans and park benches for downtown. Now we cannot even go to a school or get a pair of binoculars unless they are free. If the Mayor would just let a small percentage of this money go back, guess how much more would be seized. I wonder how many people go above and beyond what is required of them at work when they have a boss that constantly takes from them and makes it hard for them to do there job. So you see for me and many others the car is not the issue, he can do with it what he wants, I have a car that is paid for and will cost me much less than 162.00 a month to drive back and forth and I will never have to stop for anything. It is the point that it is never ending with him, before long he will want to sell our guns, at 400 a piece times 1200. That is a lot of money he can put back into the budget. Come to think of it thats a great idea, I don't need that either, I could just use my taser. Hey but we are still going to have Light up over Louisville and nice bike racks

No it is not due to it being used to enforce laws on the police it is due to a clause in the contract of NO ELECTRONIC SURVEYLENCE on the officers. LTC Turner will only tell the good side of something, nothing else. The officers had voted this down once before as they (the bosses) wanted to implement it. If it is on the officers radio how would it tell if an officer is violating something? Many of officers take their portable radio with them even if they are traveling in their POV as they do not have a take home? Just to clarify, when and how did you come upon this converstation with LTC (the only col is the wayword chief who does not support the rank and file)? IS this one of his slugs who bow down and drink the koolaid?

I assume since you stated it would help locate officers in foot chases that you mean putting GPS in portables.

1) couldnt you put the portable in your POV when driving your police car and park where your police car stays?

2) you talked to Turner did you? How about telling him and yourself we give up NOTHING unless we get something in return. You want to know where and when we drive ? Guess. Thats all we need how fast were you going? how long did you park here? Please try and use your little brain. If turner likes it IT PROBABLY ISNT GOOD FOR US.

you and turner are very, very smart. We are broke so lets buy GPS systems. And lets break that pesky little contract again. eat sh-t and die.
