Enough is Enough!

Well, heres the difference, I will neither excuse what those truckers do, nor justify it. Is there a limit, absolutely, as far as I am concerned. I would encourage you to get the numbers off the truck, call the company and register a complaint. Just be glad that unlike cops, we dont have a union that has lobbied for state laws that make complaining about us costly and difficult. There arent a bunch of particular hoops to jump through, just a simple phone call!

Once you have lobbied that complaint, many trucks, including mine, have a satellite system in it, and the company can immediately log on and verify the complaint, at least as it pertains to speeding or driving erratically. You wouldnt know that, because cops have repeatedly fought against having such equipment put in their cars, because then, you wouldnt have any excuses and you couldnt deny that you were driving 30 over just to get to lunch.

You dont need to feel badly for me at lunchtime, I didnt ask you to. I just made the point that there are other options than driving 30 mph over the limit because you want to get to lunch!

As to your level of stupidity, I dont have an opinion. Not all of my comments have been directed at everyone who reads this board, and if you think that the ones I have called stupid werent, then maybe you should question yourself. As far as I am concerned with this post, we have a difference of opinion. I think it is due to your making excuses for cops, as you expected me to make excuses for truck drivers. By and large, truck drivers are a victim of themselves, and I am happy to say that every time I have seen a trucker toss garbage out his window, I report them. Every time I see a trucker not using a turn signal, I will make a point of saying somethign to him. I also realise that being human, when I forget a signal, and someone says something to me, I say thank you, and that it is noted. If I accidentally cut someone off because they ae in my blindspot and I didnt see them, when they blow their horn and even if they flip me off, I will wave an apology and be on my way. I do NOT however, make excuses for myself on why I should also be allowed to break the law, or why the law doesnt apply to me.

As to your allegation that I sound goofy, well, all I have to say is that not one of you attacking me on any of these pposts, has offered any sort of substantiation to disprove what I said. None of you have argued that cops dont allow each other to break the law, only excuses for why they should be able to.

IF truck drivers were getting the shaft? whats the most you paid for fuel this year? $4.39? 20? maybe 30? mpg??

Truckers were getting hosed at the pumps for $5 and sometimes $6 dollars per gallon, and with our trucks getting 5-6 mpg, how much of a problem do you think we faced?

As to being on this website, dont make the address public, and dont make such ridiculously assinine statements, and there wouldnt be a reason for me to be here. Maybe you should make the requirement in the TOS that you must be a cop to post here, dont allow anonymity, but then a lot of you cops would be sticking your feet in your mouths publicly, wouldnt you?

Then I get to the end, where you try and disparage me from calling you stupid, even though I didnt, then you turn around and call me a moron, without merit I might add, and THAT is what makes you stupid. You want me to take you seriously, when you simply name call and offer no facts.

I should play nice because it will PROBABLY be a police office who pulls me from a wrecked truck? Well, i GUARANTEE you it was a trucker that brought the computer you are typing on now, who brought you that toyota camry, who brought the food you will eat tonight. Oh but I guess respect for you is a one way street, you have the right to demand it from me, but not give it!

Maybe you should have been a cop, if you arent, because you certainly have the hypocrisy for it!
