Enough is Enough!

The other day, I was at work, driving my truck, and I saw a woman whose electric wheelchair had become stuck tryiing to cross a curb. The wheels couldnt get any traction because of wet leaves. She couldnt back up the curb, so I stopped my truck, got out, and got down on the ground and pulled her chair up over the lip of the curb. She thanked me profusely, and I told her she was welcome.

I didnt need anything, no reward, no recognition, do you want a cookie? Why do you feel the need to brag about doing something selfless? Did you stop because you were a cop, or because you were human? Doesnt thinking you need recognition defeat the whole purpose behind a charitable act?
