Just to clarify: I don't think the police should be touched at all in this matter, BUT if he's saying everyone has to participate in these cuts, the only FAIR and REASONABLE (I know, that's a joke) thing is to have police lose 3 paid days just like everyone else.

I will tell you why the police are not being offered the same deal as every other city employee, the Mayor hates you! It's obvious, he has picked on the police, fire and EMS the entire time he has been in office. Maybe if he would have paid the firefighters the money he rightfully owed them all along he would not have wasted so much money fighting the lawsuit and paying interest on what he owed them. I hear that figure ended up being somewhere over 60 million! I believe if I cost my company 60 million dollars I would have been FIRED! Oh, thats right you can't fire a dictator...."Let them eat cake" Jerry!

option not offered, wouldn't make him money.

I am sure this option was not even discussed, because then Jerry would not be making money. He says this cut he is offering will save 1.2 -1.3 million, NO he will be collecting this money from police. If the cars are parked he will be saving/making nothing. I am doing you a favor Jerry, by driving a police car around your city and working while I am off. I will pay you nothing else because you continue to make bad decisions for our city. I have already given more than others by taking 0% raises and giving up an element of safety and ability to do my job better when you sold our only working helicopter for 800,000. Where is that money you crook? Go ahead take the cars, you are no longer just taking from us, you are taking safety away from the community.
