In the past I have never used the term "X-Ray" before my car number, while off duty and calling out on something. This is because if I am driving my police car, I have always considered myself to be on duty. You are a target while in a police car, anything can happen and you must be prepared to react. While in a police vehicle we get flagged down, come upon accidents and encounter citizens in need of help. Everyone benefits from the take home police car program including the citizens and the Mayor.
