Enough is Enough!

i hope you dont need the POLICE because i am responding from the division and that is only if your able to call. If I am off duty an you need me, I will be happy to watch the store get robbed, your accident block a lane, your hous get buglarized, ETC so your right, YOU ARE AFFECTITED TOO.

wow 10% of 100K ia better than what we get, and they don't pay for their cars............it's war boys and girls it's war. And for the members of teh council you better get ready because derby week could get really ugly. I feel bad already!

wouldn't mind being affected by this if he would cut back on all his pet projects and cut every place he could but no he seem to have to start with the police and fire. we have given all to much to this city already. and we put our lives on the line everyday . you wounder why we get so mad. Being short out there can cost us our lives. REMEMBER PETER..... how quick we forget we were short handed that morning also....

ps for those officer who want to still go out ther and bust your asses remember you back up will be coming from the division

What an ignorant statement! I don't know any police officers who believe any such thing. What we KNOW is that we are always the first to be asked to sacrifice, and asked to sacrifice the most. We are ill-treated by the mayor's administration and the cheif's office and staff (who were picked by jerry). If you need a history lesson here's one for you. When he sold merger to the community we had to fight to have parity in pay between former city/county officers. Our council helped to acheive that for us. On our next contract negotiation, we were asked to accept a 0% pay increase to help offset the costs of merger and we DID! As a membership we have accepted MUCH less than what we DESERVE for years and we are perpetually asked to make more concessions. The anual cost of living increase in this country has been 3.5% over the last 8 years. That's an increase of 28%. Our pay increases over that same time have not topped 10%. That means that over that last 8 yrs I and my family have fallen behind the times by at least 18%. That's more than jerry's 10% decrease! He is the one who steered us into this mess. If he had the courage of his convictions he would forego his entire salary and refund the metro for not performing his duties as befitting an elected official.So don't make broad assumptions about what you think "every" police officer thinks. You obviously aren't qualified!
