To reply to your comment that jail guards are not real police,lets talk about it for a minute and maybe I can get through to your little small brain.

First. We are not Guards, we are OFFICERS. We are trained peace officers for the state of kentucky ********. Guards work at the prison.

Second. We can work off duty, "like the police".

Third. We belong to the FOP "like the police".

Forth. We can cite and/or arrest 24 hrs a day, "like the police".

Fifth. We have full police powers. "like the police".

We are, like it or not, Law Enforcement Officers. We are forced to deal with the same people that the Police have to deal with but only behind closed doors. Ask yourself this? would you do your job without a weapon or some kind of other protection. WE DO EVERY DAY!

We work with the citys scum of the earth just,"like the police" but our weapons are secured in a gun box while we are on duty.

So the next time you pull your pretty little crown vic in our sallyport with a disruptive remember this, that officer that you see standing there, is ready to help YOU.....................He's not looking down on you,or thinking, that guy couldn't do my job. He just see's another Officer like him.

So lose that ego,and act like you have an education.

A CORRCETION OFFICER..

Although Corrections Officer arent considered the Police .... They are on our side ! ...so please give them some well due respect ....I worked 2 years in Corrections and it is NOT an easy job like you would think .....so give them the respect that they do for US .... thanks for letting me express my opinion !

Jail Guards are not real police? Where did it say that they was? Keep this in mind, they can do YOUR job but.. You can't do theirs. Take this from somebody that had done both of the jobs. and.... as far as the topic goes, Sidebottom is an idiot. He blew it. Probably would have been the next Chief.
