As much as I do support LMPD I heard the chief defending the take home car policy. He told city council members that having you all drive your take home cars is helping keep crime down. One council member did not feel 30 and 60 dollars a month was enough for you all to pay with the cost of gas increasing. The council member said that she has seen police officers picking up thier children from school in their take home cars. I have to give credit for the chief for defending the policy. It is hard
