Elimination of Incarceration?

I work in the jail as an officer and believe me when i say that the inmates no nothing about discipline. I have seen so many guys leave and be right back within a week. Its irritating to me so i know it has to be irritating to the police to see the same guy back out on the street within days. These guys get cable TV, they get to read the paper everyday, they get free medication and they get to order white castle and sub sandwiches through commissary. for alto of them it is like home. All their "boys" are there so its just like being in the hood. There have actually been times where we had to physically make someone get out of the jail because they were being released but they didn't want to leave. How soft is that .And the people they let out on HIP. There was an inmate who they actually let go on HIP because he was assaulting to many officers and they wanted to get him out of the jail. He was back within days. The way the system is ran is just a big joke. There is no reason for one guy to have a 100 page criminal history report. How many crimes doe s someone have to commit before he should be put away for good.
