Police say they have plan for air support after sale of helicopter

I just cannot get over that these guys flat out LIE to Metro Council, and there are no repercussions for that bold-faced lying at all.

Come on, Metro Council, I know at least one of you are reading these messages, call them in and hold their feet to the fire - make them explain how they are going to provide the same service, and make them PROVE IT. Obviously the Guard isn't going to be readily available - what other aviation resources are available. I see Civil Air Patrol planes sitting at Bowman Field - I bet they'd be willing to fly for events, at least. We need an aviation plan. Places like Columbus, Ohio have helicopters, and as a "major city" aren't we in that same league. There's a project, of the 25 largest communities, how many have choppers?

He actually said that over the radio? HA! That's awesome. That officer has some balls. I'd love to know who did that, but don't tell me and get them in trouble though.
