2008 Contract Passes

My friend nothing is free. Yes I have a take home car that I HAVE INSURANCE ON.!!! The city only covers so much then the officers have to buy additional insurance to cover the cost...Humm little know fact that you overlooked. Also over the past 19 years I have given up pay raises if you look back at the previos contacts the police have "taken one for the city" to the point that most of us have to work second jobs to feed our kids. So yes we deserve what we are offered and more. If EMS can't get a better contract maybe you need new negotiators on your team.

we do have it good, BUT these benifits were hard fought for in years past. ALOT of raises were passed up to get and keep these benifits by past officers. I am not talking about the goverement being broke and not giving any raises, I am talking about picking one over the other. As for EMS going to dangerous calls, I know for a fact they hold back until the POLICE secure the scene then they come in.

It's not our fault you made the wrong career choice and joined EMS. If you want the same things as the police, then join the pd, otherwise, quit complaining. I don't have a problem with you staging and I really don't want you to be in a bad situation. FYI- I don't know if you were on then, but I openly complained and backed you up when Kuster ordered you guys not to wear your bullet resistant vests. Just saying, I'm not anti-EMS, but mind your own business.
