Governor announces proposed changes to Pension System

Okay, I am definitely NOT a fan of the democratic party, but this is a larger problem than one political party over another. This problem has grown for the last 15 some odd years, and both parties have been in control during that time. Face the facts: The Kentucky state government considers bridge building, social services (read: welfare), and numerous other things to be far more important than our retirement.

I still have 14 years until I can retire from LMPD, and a lot more years than that until I can draw Social Security. I've all but given up hope on the Social Security system still being intact when I need it in 35 years, and now it looks like my state retirement is going to gradually go down in flames as well.
