Just to set the record straight - no, KSP does NOT make more than LMPD, gets the usual state benefits (including paying for insurance) and doesn't get the OT that you think they do, remember, the state is undergoing a MAJOR cut and no one is getting the OT. And they don't work off duty for one very specific reason, they really are subject to 24 hour call - not unusual, probably a weekly if not more often, occurence, to get woke up at home and sent out to assist in their assigned area - when is the last time that happened to an LMPD officer not on a speciality unit?
And if you wanna wear the gray - testing is Feb. 23 and March 15!
