MetroSafe trains dispatchers in an academy setting for 6-8 weeks, and then the dispatcher enters a training period of anywhere from 6-12 months before they are released. They are probationary for a year, and usually if they don't cut it, they're let go well before the year mark is passed.
The starting pay is $18.73 for a CSII or dispatcher that works the phones and the radios, Calltakers CSI's make $2 per hour less starting.
