More Officers, Less Helicopters & $60 is a Pittance

This is a good idea. 2 things......if it becomes a contact benifit would you be willing to pay tax on the value of it? The FOP in the past said this is the reason it was never in the contract. Also, if a $$$ value was assigned to it how would you give this benifit to those officers who live in Indiana? If they say it is worth $11,000.00 would it not be fair to give this amount to the other officers who don't have the take home car and have to use their own?

I agree...........include them in the contract
