So, are you suggesting that the generator isn't checked regularly? Because - you know - it is. So all Louisville agencies check their generators regularly? Did the fire stations every even GET generators? They didn't have them a few years ago when tornados hit Louisville, I know.

That said, this story does demonstrate a serious lack in mutual aid communications. Folks, there are a number of dispatch centers in Louisville Metro - offhand, in addition to Metrosafe, we have Shively, St. Mat., J-town, the Sheriff's Dept., and if you think a little more widely, Yellow and Rural Metro - which are backups to LMEMS. When was the last time they practiced a failure? Where's the back up location for Metrosafe - should IT have a problem?

Hey, you are retired, you would double dip if you could?, you just can,t get a job, our Chief is the best, we have great equipment, as a matter of fact the best of any in the area, you take a shot at him you are taking a shot at me, we are by far living in the 70's as matter of fact we're cutting edge in several areas, But if you the ,much wiser one knew the FACTS which you don't ....we never missed a run and operated on our radio system no problem, I was here you were not, you don't think the fact of a generator not starting shut the department down do you? NO metro safe called over runs to the PD and we made our runs as usual, you know it might of had something to do with a telephone lines being down in the whole area..think before you open your mouth...********
