The forensic evidence and all the officers' testimony supported McKenzie Mattingly, too.  Stengel disregarded the evidence and called Mattingly and Matt Thomerson both liars.  He did that at the FOP meeting in January of 2006, in case you missed it.  Stengel also said, at that meeting, that he indicted Mattingly for murder even though he knew he would not get a conviction.  The media had a field day with his case.  They only reported about a third of the facts and had major problems even
