I know there will be some negative comments about her on here but consider this. She took over the Juvenile Justice Cabinet and fought against the changes that our liberal judges instituted so that we cannot even lock the little scumbags up anymore. Now we have to take them to a safe place where they can simply walk out the door and go forth and commit more crimes.

I hope being in charge of the parole board she will have a strong voice against letting scum back out on the street. Not that it would matter if we get another moron like Fletcher who pardoned some 74 people.

I know a bit about former commissioner Brown as I have worked for the state for several years. Ex-commissioner Brown totally ruined the integrity of The department of juvenile Justice. Commissioner Brown and her cronies (Licty and Dossett) were more concerned with terminating employees than running the department of juvenile justice.

Commissioner Brown used to forward an e-mail containing a list of everyone she had "disciplined". Any employee saying anything negative about commissioner brown or her policies was subject to "Discipline". Hitler had the same rules for his subordinates, incidentally. Instead of fighting some of the truly frivolous lawsuits filed by DPA in court, Brown's administration took the easy road. They simply destroyed employees instead. Every action taken on the part of DJJ was designed to shield commissioner Brown and her cronies from liability.

I know of an employee who was forced to use up all of his accumulated leave because commissioner Brown would not allow him to return to work even though his doctors had stated several times that he could. He only returned to work because in her zeal to destroy this long term employee, she had violated federal employment law, and she was finally smart enough to realize that she was about to be sued in federal court.

Commissioner Brown will do a great job on the parole board. She is used to treating people like criminals and now at least she can treat real criminals like she treated her employees. Her actions cost HONEST employees a lot of grief. It is a shame that this embarrassment to LMPD would still be paid with our tax dollars
