Sucking up to the Chief.............................

Believing your doing a great job................................

Spending a ton of money on your re-election...........................

The look on your face when you get slammed by the membership 640-350....................

PRICELESS

Congrats to all the people who won their elections. The real test of merit will be to see if those that didn't get elected choose to stay active in the lodge. There are vacant delegate seats...will they come back and ask to serve still? The lodge needs more involvement form younger officers.

One of the youngest Officers running got the most votes of anyone. Jason Schweitzer got 703 votes for Lodge trustee. 1000 people voted. He outscored veteran officers for this position. It too was a signal on how the young members of this lodge need to become more active. It is your Lodge and your future. Do your part to make it better

I would like to thank the people on this website for using this platform to get the officer's voice across. Keeling stole that voice 2 years ago when he shut the website down because he didn't want anybody to comment without his permission. Well it looks like free speach wins over censorship Mr. EX President.

I like having somewhere I can go to post my thoughts about what is wrong with the way things are on the police department and in Metro Government. Keep up the good work guys!

I am impressed. It is apparent that Keeling could no longer pull the wool over everone's eyes. The numbers of voters really showed that there were a lot of peope dissatisfied with his lack of leadership.

To some people it was personal, because they were victims of his problem leadership. To others it was simply business. They wanted someone they could rely on that would not bow down or make decisions that cost the lodge.

Here's a question from a non-LMPD member - how long can you actually go, legally, without a contract. What leverage do you have to force one? Could, for example, the city drag this out forever?

So who's our Delegates?

LANDSLIDE VICTORY!

November 26th, 2007 @ 8:59PM (16 years ago)

Brothers and Sisters,

I wanted everyone to know this before you read it in the Courier on Wednesday. I will be stepping down as your President on December 18th at the General Meeting. I want to wish the President-Elect and his new Board all the luck in the world in the next term. For those of you that I was able to help in some way I want you to know that it was an honor.

Bill Keeling

President

River City Lodge No. 614

Fraternal Order of Police

NO YOU ARE NOT STEPPING DOWN YOU WERE VOTED OUT BY A HUGE MARGIN. APPARENTLY YOU DIDN'T REALIZE JUST HOW BAD EVERYONE THOUGHT YOU WERE DOING YOUR JOB.

LANDSLIDE VICTORY!

November 26th, 2007 @ 3:23PM (16 years ago)

As far a shortages go. Remember for every officer that good ol' Jerr doesn't replace that is that much more he can spend to revitalize that DUMP called downtown. He could care less if we have people on the street then he could try and privatize the jobs which he wishes he could do. The police dept and other depts in city gov't to him are nothing more than pay numbers and expenses he doesn't want to pay. He hates us and no amount of sucking up to him will do any good. So do the best you can with what you got because it DAMN sure isn't going to get any better under this administration. Hate to bust your bubbles but that's the FACTS.

LANDSLIDE VICTORY!

I am a fairly new officer and have a favor to ask of the vets. Can someone list some of the reasons most seem to not like the chief. I haven't had any real dealings with him other than him being at the graduation ceremony. Also, what does everyone think is going to set the new FOP president apart from keeling? I never had any dealings with John or Bill either and don't know anything about them other than what I read on here.

Thanks.

Did the chif get a deal from Jerry to stay here and not go to Chicago???

LANDSLIDE VICTORY!

November 23rd, 2007 @ 4:01PM (16 years ago)

I am a gambling and I'll give you 10 to 1 odds that good ol Jerr will match Chicago's salary for chief to keep White, any takers? Yes men, like him are hard to find these days. If White leaves it won't be a money issue it will be because he will get to make 13,000 mens life miserable instead of a 1000.
