Louisville firefighters get contract after 2 years of talks

Don't blame them for working for their members, and insurance costs are an issue, but we need to be clear on the whole package. I hear that they are giving up the fire telecommunicators as well - taking them out of Fire and putting them in Metrosafe - and removing them from firefighter status and stipend pay. I suspect the state is looking askance at that anyway. (Do they really get 100 hours of FF training a year - which is required for them to qualify for that stipend.?)
