Completing 60 hours of coursework doesn't mean you "finished" anything. In fact, I'd argue that doing 60 hours and not having at least an associate's to show for it indicates that you are not very goal-driven.

WHAT......are you serious that just because you went to college you are something more special than the person who didn't? Give me a F**cking break. I would take a person who didn't go to college due to having to work his/her life to take care of the family over some kid who went to college, partied, and has a degree in some bs field that has nothing to do with dealing with the people on the street. The person who had to stay and work has more work ethic and dedication than the one who went off and atteneded classes. Look at the quality of people we are getting now a days. Right out of training they expect to be treated like the senior officer (10 plus years). They have no idea of how to police but our trianing unit makes them think that just because they have a degree (in anything) they are the best thing going. I have been an officer for almost 20 years with very little college and have made a great living being a Police Officer. Knowing how to treat people and common sence is more important than a degree.
