Mayor gets council's budget proposal

Funny, one of the things I don't see in his budget is the money for raises. The Lieutenants and Captains have been without a contract for almost 2 years now. The Officers and Sergeants began negotiating in March and I am sure that "Uncle Jerry" will be offering squatt as far as raises go.

The last contract rasied our insurance and gave us a 0%, 2% 2% raise. We did have a portion in the contract which states if the Occupational License fees increased then so would our raise. Unfortunately they are now saying that they didn't really make any money because they had to pay bills first and the money only counts after the bills are paid.

The firefighters are also without a contract. He offered them even less.

Maybe all of us ingrates should pay him for the privelege of comming to work?

More crime surveillance cameras for high-crime neighborhoods.

Are you kidding me???? The ones that have they now are monitored by, yes you guessed it...........NOBODY!!

They are not even recording so youcan go back and lookat what may have occurred while NOBODY was monitoring them!!
