You comments are ridiculous and you should be ashamed to post them. The officer that was involved in this horrible incident risked his life to protect our community on more than 1 occasion and shouldn't be condemned for this, he should be awarded. I feel lucky to have a friend like him and know that he will get through this with the help of his wonderful family and friends....

It's pretty simple cause and effect. Point a gun at the police and you get killed. What would you suggest the police do when confronted by a suspect with a firearm? Remember what happened to Officer Grignon........enough said. This officer protected himself and his co-workers and the public that he serves for that matter. So until you've had a gun pointed at you and feared for your life, let's not sideline quarterback the situation you moron.

1. What the hell are you talking about?

2. Turn off your caps lock, it just makes it harder to read your comment

3. The police didn't "cause" the shooting, the criminal activity "caused" the shooting

4. Um, seriously, what on Earth are you talking about?

Hey, you with the big mouth.....How 'bout we put YOU out there and let YOU have to chase this punk....Then when he pulls a gun and fires at YOU, YOU can feel free to get yourself shot dead instead of defending your own life....How dare you for judging this or ANY situation you were not even involved in....Talk about "monday-morning QB".....

If that little scumbag wasn't burglarizing someone's house, the police would have never been called there in the first place. If scumbag would have simply obeyed the officer's commands and stopped when being told, instead of choosing to point a gun at the officer, the officer wouldn't have been forced to protect himself by shooting the PERPETRATOR. It amazes me that there are so many idiots I've seen on the news being interviewed, saying such ridiculous things as-- the police could have used a taser, or they could have shot him in the leg, etc. Are these people nuts? Number 1- When you are confronted with deadly force (i.e. a handgun in this situation), you must respond to the threat by also using deadly force. That is the appropriate response. You don't bring a taser to a gun fight. Simple enough, right? Number 2- "shooting the suspect in the leg" would do absolutely nothing to diminish the threat, in fact with all the adrenaline pumping, the person probably wouldn't even feel it anyway. That would be a very poor choice which probably would have resulted in the officer not going home to his family that night, and the little dirtbag wearing a cast on his leg for a month. Fortunately, for the officer and his family, his fellow officers, and the law-abiding public at large, that wasn't the outcome. The officer did a great job, and was forced into this situation by some punk kid whose parents obviously failed him in life, by not teaching him the difference between right and wrong.
