You are right, Deputies are not considered POLICE. My response to that is who cares. They are sworn law enforcement officers who protect and serve in different ways. The Deputies of Jefferson County who work Warrants and EPO's do some of the most dangerous work in the county. Hell I would not want to serve EPO's all the time. I mean who wants to respond to domestic violence calls every 6 out of ten calls you get. Thats what our deputies do here in Jefferson County. I wouldn't want to do it. So to my brothers in brown thanks for what you do. You may not respond to calls for service but you risk your lives just the same as all police officers do. Keep up the good work and stay safe.
