Yes, I agree, but from what I'm being told, it was arguably survivable, had he been wearing his seat belt. How many officers that post here can hold up their hand and say yes, I always wear my seat belt? I seem to recall that the most recent LMPD officer involved in a wreck was also not seat belted - so apparently, LMPD does not require it?
