S.W.A.T Team Standoff With Officer Ends Peacefully |
RE: S.W.A.T Team Standoff With Officer Ends Peacefully
What was it that MetroSafe said that made you so upset? With the limited number of channels to handle something like this, their hands were tied. It was no different than if the officer had a scanner in his car and was able to hear the SWAT transmissions. That would have been even worse and could have possibly been a totally different situation. Alot of what was being said on the radio was being said by commanders and officers responding to the scene. MetroSafe can't really control that as much. I would be interested in what was said.
I, like everyone else I know, is thankful that the officer came out of the house on his own freewill. Maybe that will be his saving grace. I am not an officer and don't have aspirations to be one. It is a trying and dangerous job as well mentally taxing.
Kudos go to his fellow officers who spoke to him, HNT for working with him and SWAT for being there to protect the other officers there in the event he decided to change his mind.
May God be with the officer, his family and his co-workers during this time of need.
