I am sure that after repeated orders by Officers to pull his hands out of his pockets so they could see he wasn't holding a weapon like a gun or knife, that when he pulled his hands out and was actually holding a handgun and pointing it at the Officers standing 6 feet away, he was probably just going to show it to them so they could all compare firearms. He didn't get a chance to shoot because they anticipated he was up to no good. Hence, their reason for being there anyway. (Meth lab in the garage).
