2 write ups, how about the 17 commendations in his file. I know this man and he is a good man. It is a sad accident that occured, but that is what it is, an ACCIDENT. Nothing more, nothing less. He did not intend for this to take place and he should be treated just like any other citizen in our community. A full investigation and than give the evidence to the commonwealth attorney. Why is it that so many people what to hang him just because he is a police officer? All he was doing was driving to work. The sad thing is even if he was in his personal car driving anywhere else, the media still would have played it the same way tieh him being a police officer. Hell, with the post on here from people like you all, no wonder why there is a feeling of no support.

You are sure the man didn't leave his van in the middle of the road. You are possitive about this from the comfort of your home. I was there. The van was in the road and the emergency lane. The guy was all the way out in the road, in the dar, no flares, no emergency blinkers. I see this happen all the time because someone doesn't have enough sense to pull all the way off the road or their car breaks down and they freeze up and can't figure out that it is safer to get out of the car and go up on the other side of the wall and wait.

Yes the officer had two write ups. One was for hitting a pole and the other for bottoming out as he tried to cross the median to turn around on I-64 to help a stranded motorist. How many accidents have you had? Those were his only ones in 11 years and he like most officers drive their entire shift which equates to sometimes over 500 miles per week. How about doing a percentage factor against the common motorist that only averages 100 miles a week and you will be suprised with the results.

Take your arm chair quarterbacking somewhere else and get a life. You quote the Courier-Journal like it is gospel, but it is not. It is a left wing linberal slanted rag that uses banner headlines to sell ad space. Just out of curiosity have you seen any of Officer Measles 17 commendations printed in the paper? I didn't think so. The department receives countless letters commending our Officers weekly, but the good news doesn't sell.
