Another poster (apparently an LMPD officer) claims that if they were working the job off-duty, that they should not have been allowed to call for help, they should have handled it themselves. Seriously, though, I think a lot of these businesses hiring off-duty officers are allowed to hire too few officers to save money. That gives the illusion of safety to parents and the like.
