Coleman's Confusion... |
RE: Coleman's Confusion...
In regards to your statement "I wish to understand how Coleman came to have his place of attention which he appears to relish," I don't have a firm answer, but maybe I can give some suggestions:
Do a web search on Coleman, and use several different keywords / phrases (i.e. "Rev. Coleman," "Rev. Louis Coleman," etc). You may notice that 1) he instigated stuff outside of the police department and now has foes from those disputes; and 2) Louis Coleman started his campaigns in the 60's, and took his cues from a former contact named Martin Luther King.
How things played out to give him the position that he has today, I don't know. But I think it's safe to say he is modeling a true rights activist who had a legitimate cause. Otherwise, just try searching on some of the major search engines. You will find a lot on him.
