No money in budget for metro radio fix

March 21st, 2006 @ 2:37PM (18 years ago)

I blame the typical "Pork Barrell" politics that pervade Kentucky Government on this. Everybody wants to get their hand in the cookie jar.

"Big cities aren't the only ones at risk," said Floor Leader Rocky Adkins, D-Sandy Hook, whose counties would receive 58 earmarks. This ludicrous statement is so typical of the crap we have to put up with. It is thinking like this why Paul Patton has his own convention center in the huge metropoplis of Pikeville.

I also have to blame our big-headed mayor for not making this project a priority in the first place and spending like he had the money. With what he has saved in not giving raises to Police, Fire and EMS workers I sure the monies have already been raised.

An arena is so much more important than the safety of the public.
