I agree and disagree. The awards process has been homogenized into something that is ridiculous. YES it is on every platoon in every district there are the ones that go above and beyond the call of duty. I thik there should be valor awards again and I think the "Keeping your pencils stright in your desk drawer awards should be cut out entirely. If you got a street paved, great job, but that is not Police work in my book. Catching crooks and preventing crime is what we get paid for. This Community
