EMS Union Upset About Proposed Changes

I expect you'll see a tremendous change after the first of the year - I understand Downard doesn't want to take away from representing his constituents until "election year" arrives.

JA won't surround himself with personnel that won't tell him exactly what he wants to hear!

great reply to the original article. You hit on some good points, the best being ALL Metro employees (Union and Non Union) need to band together and help the public understand the tactics mayor jer has taken against our families and the people who want to make this a better place to live.

There should be regular marches held in front of city hall involving all fire, police and EMS union members and speeches informing them of the travesty that is the Abramson administration. Crime keeps going up, fire and EMS protection keeps going down. How many more times will Louisville elect a platitude-spewing lawyer with no clue how to manage a city? Hopefully after next year, he'll have to find himself a real job. You know he's just trying to get to 27 years so he can retire. Not on my dime, moron.

It's not just police, fire and EMS that are in disarray. Look at Animal Control. Only 13 officers for the 16th largest city when professional standards require 30. We have all seen the Pitt Bulls who live their lives chained to a tree in the backyard and abused by their owners. We all know someone else is going to end up dead by these abused dogs, it may very likely be one of us. Jerry needs to cruise the alleys of the inner city and see his animal control program is not working. Councilman Peden suggests calling the police since it takes three days to get a response from animal control. Hire more animal control officers and let the police chase the real bad guys.
