Anyone who's going to take a position that it's OK to replace ambulances with cars should at least have bothered to look up the difference between a paramedic and an EMT. Being an EMT means you have a little more training than a first responder and can use some basic lifesaving equipment, but you can't give people injections or IV's or put tubes into them. They're the paramedic's helper and the ambulance driver.
