Don't know what you are talking about. The AEDs that I am talking about (information obtained from a Sgt. prior JCPD) are the ones that almost all the JCPD cars had assigned to them. There was no handing them off or looking for them. It is not that the Police get dispatched on the calls, we come across them at different scenes. If the Police were at your house and someone had a heart attack would you want them to stand around while EMS is enroute (hoping there are no "BS" calls they are on or they don't have to respond from cross county) or using an AED to help the CPR? The former LPD was just getting into the AED usage as the dept did not take it seriously enough to get enough of them.
