Most stores will not allow their Loss Prevention to go hands on at all. One touch and it's your job. Most people could care less about you until they need you. The same goes for these guys and gals working retail LP. They don't have any backing from the store's managment until they are needed for a shoplifter, an irate customer who's gone DC on them, drunks that start fights and the like. They get spit on and called names and can't even defend themselves without risk of losing their jobs. Kind of
