They're lucky the robbers just wanted to get away and didn't decide to shoot everyone in a back room to get rid of the potential witnesses. You can't always rely on the bad guys to be humane or for the police to be around the corner. People should be capable of protecting themselves from armed criminals. Liberal gun-grabbers are free to beg their victimizers for mercy, but I sure won't be.

Good thing that it was Saint Matthews Police that handled this! If it was Metro, the headlines would not be -

"St Matthews Police Capture 2 Suspects Accused of Robbery and Kidnapping"

- it would be "Metro police officers violate the civil rights of 2 holiday shoppers"

As soon as the first shotgun round went off, the manager hit the holdup alarm. So much for surprise!

Robbers know that most big companies are too scared to allow their security to carry guns or receive any self-defense training. Nor do most of them have any plan for evacuation to a safe room in the event that someone comes charging in with a gun. Why? Because safe rooms would cost too much. There have been counter shields used in Europe for years that stop most bank robberies. American banks won't buy them because they don't think their employees lives are worth the cost. The fact that someone can shoot their way into a locked store and have the entire staff of Best Buy at gunpoint in a few minutes is a complete disgrace. It comes down to employees having to risk being fired, just so they can legally carry a firearm and possibly survive in the event that the worst ever happens. I guess you have to weigh whether the risk of being fired for carrying concealed outweighs the risk of being murdered if you decide not to.
