Officer Gunned Down In Emergency Room

November 1st, 2005 @ 10:41PM (18 years ago)

A tragic situation that shows who they had in mind when they created the death penalty. Don't know the circumstances leading up to this, but complacency, lax officer safety and too much community oriented B.S. will get you killed if you encounter the wrong suspect on the wrong day. Ask yourself if you've ever been in a situation where someone could have done the same to you and learn from this lesson so you won't let it happen again.

Rest in Peace Brother. It seems almost every day I am reminded to keep my guard up because one of my Brothers or Sisters have fallen. Some people don't understand why Police act rude or suspicious of everyone. If you've never stood weeping at a Brother Officer's funeral then you will never understand. PS

The suspect was, up until that time, quiet and cooperative. Please, brothers and sisters, let this remind us to never let our guards down. The dangerous mind can wait and lull us into a false sense of security, taking advantage when he or she sees fit. Remember that danger for us does not only come on a dark and lonely road, or on a one on one confrontation in someone's living room, but in a well lit, highly populated, and seemingly safe and secure area. Do not underestimate your enemy.

Rest in Peace, Brother Gregg. Peace and Prayers are with the Brothers and Sisters and families of Newtown Borough P.D.
